Day-Long in-person retreats on sundays in 2024
We host a series of day-long retreats in Oakland for those who want to touch deeply into practice. Retreat registration opens about a month before the event. Visit our Sunday day-long retreat page for more information. Join our mailing list for dates, invitations and registration.
The day-long retreats are from 9 am - 4 pm. There is a break for lunch, which is provided. A sliding-scale donation is requested, but no one is turned away. This is a mostly silent retreat, with sitting and walking meditation, a dharma talk, and time for sharing and conversation. |
Regular In-Person and Zoom meditation (except holidays)
Crimson Gate hosts weekly zoom and in-person meditation on an alternating schedule every month from 6:30 - 7:30 PM Pacific Time. In-person meditation is at our beautiful Zendo in Oakland at 3824 Grand Avenue. No registration is necessary! Just arrive about 10 minutes early because we begin promptly at 6:30. In-person sittings are also connected via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. Click here for details.
Join Us For An in-person Week-long retreats
In collaboration with other sanghas we offer week-long meditation retreats throughout the year. Join our mailing list for announcements and registration. We also list future week-long events here on our web site.
A week of silent meditation at a peaceful and inspiring location can be a life-altering experience. Retreats typically run daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and include periods of sitting and walking, Dharma talks and discussion, yoga or qigong, individual meetings with a teacher, vegetarian meals, rest, and walks outside. We are often in collaboration with Desert Rain Zen and other sanghas associated with Open Source Zen.
We look forward to sitting with you!
